The Stella Unica International Young Artist Piano Competition is open

to pianists ages 5–18. Participants are evaluated by an independent international

jury and receive a professional written evaluation.

For solo and concerto entries, the division is determined by the competing pianist’s age on November 14, 2026. For duet, duo, and trio entries, the division is determined by the age of the oldest participant.

An online recital will be available for winners who cannot travel to Massachusetts. Awards may be mailed by prior arrangement with the Competition Director.

Application Fee

One registration form and one combined payment are required for each soloist or ensemble.

  • Piano Solo — $75 

  • Piano Duet — $45 per participant 

  • Piano Trio — $35 per participant 

  • Piano Concerto — $95 for the competing pianist 


The second-piano accompanist in the Piano Concerto category is not considered a competition participant and does not pay an entry fee.
